high speed case packer

A high speed case packer inquiry is only comparable when changeover, gripper rigidity and upstream grouping are stated with the headline rate. This page maps those operating contexts so factories cannot hide a slow SKU behind a fast one.

Changeover context

Operating context
Beverage, food, household and industrial pack-off cells that switch case counts during a shift. High speed here means the quoted cycle time must still hold after a documented changeover, not only on a single golden SKU.
Changeover context: Upstream

Confirm whether products arrive as a timed lane, a collated group or a random flow. High-speed pickers that expect a complete layer will not meet cases/minute if grouping is still happening at the infeed. State product rate and case rate separately, then name the pattern that converts one into the other.

Control boundary

Ask which gripper handles the least rigid product pack, how vacuum or mechanical jaws are swapped, and how long format parts take to exchange. Incomplete-group recovery must be visible to the operator; silent discharge of a short case is a quality escape, not a speed feature. PLC recipes should list every contracted pattern, not a “typical” pattern.

Downstream

Filled cases must leave without blocking the next cycle. Sealing, labeling or palletizing that is not in the packer quote still affects SAT if the handshake is undefined. Representative production samples, including the weakest pack, belong in the acceptance set.

Rate comparison dimensions for a high speed case packer RFQ
Dimension Buyer states Supplier restates Why it changes ranking
Throughput basis Products/min and cases/min with SKU Test product, case and grouping used Nominal speed is not validated output
Pack matrix Count and orientation per case Included patterns versus extra tooling Hidden SKUs break cycle time
Gripper / forming Least rigid pack and wrap-around need Tool identity and change parts Wrong jaw inflates claimed speed
Changeover SKU sequence and target minutes Measured change plus first-good check Shift output depends on restart, not peak
Connected utilities 208/230/480 V, 60 Hz, air in bar/psi, footprint in mm Connected load in kW and work envelope Site cost sits outside machine price
